Lisa L. Steptoe has nearly 30 years of management, operational, marketing, business development and sales experience in the military, healthcare, and real estate industries. She has extensive experience in bringing new medicinal modalities to improve clinical outcomes in healthcare.
Lisa is currently a Regional Account Manager for Value Drug Company, a pharmaceutical wholesaler founded in 1934 committed to facilitating the success of independent pharmacies, allowing for optimum patient care in the community and long-term care environments.
She became a multisport athlete in 2010 with her first triathlon at Nation’s Tri in DC on a borrowed mountain bike. In 2017, at the same race, she placed 1st in the Masters Athena Division securing an entry to the iconic Escape from Alcatraz race. She successfully Escaped in 2018. In the 10 years of her multisport lifestyle, she has raced in over 30 Duathlons, Triathlons and Aquabike events achieving the podium 4x. She has been on Mid-Maryland Triathlon Clubs (MMTC) Board of Directors for 6 years serving as Communication Chair & Vice-President and is now President, MMTC for 2021. Lisa will be going for her 1st Ironman in 2021 at IMMD.
Lisa was also the President of the DC/Baltimore Chapter of the National Sales Network – An Association of African American Sales Professionals from 2003-2008 and was Chairman of the Board of the NSN DC/Baltimore Chapter in 2009. The Chapter won the 2007 Chapter of the Year Award under her leadership. She was also awarded the David Richardson Individual Achievement Award for her success at rebuilding the chapter.
In addition to her career and business ventures, Lisa has continued to serve and bring value to the United States Military Academy. She served as the Chair, Communications for the WPAOG Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She has also served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for West Point Women and on Congressman Elijah Cummings Service Academy Nomination Board (15yrs). Lisa returns in 2021 as Board Member to Maryland’s 7th Congressional District for Congressman Kweisi Mfume’s Service Academy Nomination Board.
Lisa is professionally credentialed as a Certified Medical Representative, graduate of the Professional Academy of Healthcare Management and of Villanova’s Master Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
